This was a wonderful class. The reasons why I would retake this class is because it is a challenge. This class helps you become a better witing and improves on you being asked to write on the spot all of a sudden. Mr. Conde is a great teacher who wants his students to suceed and gives extra credit so we can get an A+ in the class. The reasons I would not retake this class is that it is a little more challenging then I would want and I would want to have a more exciting enviorment and more exciting projects.

My Dream House
My dream mansion oh what a mansion it would be with a plathera of rooms. An estate thousands of feet large. With an outdoor and indoor pool with a hot tub. A huge gourmet kitchen with private sheffs working to feed me and my family. The master bedrooms so big and beautiful. With a big california king sized matress with a frame made of beautiful wood, cast iron, and gold plating. A huge walk in closet with remote control drawers to expose gold and platinum jewelry enlayed with precious stones. A msater bathroom to match the bedrooms beauty equally. With marble floors and aunix walls. A deep soaking infinity bath tub with massaging therapy jets. A big steam shower with multiple flat heads with a big glass window to look over the estate. A large beautiful vanity with granite counter top and twin faucets with a golden faucet. The bedroom again with a balcony with a magnificent view and hard wood floors with a nice plasma screen television mounted on the wall and a fire place. A dining room with a long cherry wood table with a crystal chandeleur hanging above it. A private movie theather with motion sensing seats and my own personal cossesion stand. Outside I would also have a tenis court and both an indoor and outdoor basketball court. A cleering for my private jet to land and a hanger to keep it in and a dock for my yacht. I can relaxe in my swimming pool outside think I am in the ocean when I see my boat and relaxe on a floating bed as the sun beats down on me only to be awakend by my dogs licking me. My back yard would be so cool. It would have a garden and on each side the plants would match and line up identically. My dogs houses would be scaled models of the mansion and a second house used to be a guest house.

George Washington Biography
Have you ever wanted to know more about our nations first president. Well I have the information for you straight from the marvelous website of Who2.com.George Washington is called "the father of his country" for his crucial role in fighting for, creating and leading the United States of America in its earliest days. Washington was a surveyor, farmer and soldier who rose to command the Colonial forces in the Revolutionary War. He held the ragtag Continental Army together -- most famously during a frigid encampment at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania during the winter of 1777-78 -- and eventually led them to victory over the British. His success in the war made him a tremendously popular figure in America even after he retired to his farm at Mount Vernon in 1783. He was the natural choice to serve as the country's first president in 1789 after the new United States Constitution was ratified. He served two terms, refused a third, and returned to his Virginia farm. In 1798 he was again commissioned as Commander in Chief of the Army, a title he held until his death 18 months later. He was succeeded as president by John Adams.
Extra credit: Washington married the widow Martha Dandridge Custis in 1759; they had no children together, but Washington adopted Martha's children John and Martha... Washington was land-rich but often cash-poor, and had to borrow money in order to get to his first inauguration... Washington had false teeth but, contrary to popular rumor, they were not made of wood. According to the Mount Vernon official site, Washington's dentures "were probably more uncomfortable than wood. They were made of cow's teeth, human teeth, and elephant ivory set in a lead base with springs that allowed him to open and close his mouth"... The story of Washington chopping down a cherry tree is also not true; it was invented by an early biographer of Washington, Parson Mason Weems.
Washington joins Franklin Roosevelt and Susan B. Anthony in our loop On The Money.

The Most Expensive U.S. Colleges

The U.S. remains the priciest place to obtain a university education.
I
ALL CREDIT GOES TO FORBES.COM WASHINGTON, D.C.--With a global recession unfolding, it's tough to come up with funding for college these days, perhaps even more so if your destination is one of the world's most expensive universities.
Aside from the general problem of rising tuition fees, the credit crunch has dented endowments. Not good news for many private American colleges and universities, which are the priciest in the world. The most expensive in terms of tuition and fees: Washington, D.C.'s George Washington University, with a sticker price of $40,437 for the 2008-2009 school year. Others in the top five are Sarah Lawrence College ($40,350), Kenyon College ($40,240), Vassar College ($40,210) and Bucknell University ($36,652).
This shouldn't be too surprising. These schools were also the five most expensive for tuition and fees last year. By contrast, expensive colleges in other countries include Canada's Quest University (about $20,500 for tuition in U.S. dollars), National University of Singapore ($24,000) and Imperial College London ($27,800 for non-British and European Union students).
What about elite Ivies, like Harvard and Yale? They're in the same ballpark--$36,173 for Harvard, $35,300 for Yale--but not quite as pricey as many smaller private schools. Factor in cost of living, books, transportation and other expenses and they're about the same as the U.S. schools listed above. Other institutions, like Carnegie Mellon University, Wesleyan and the University of Chicago are in the same league as far as overall costs go. Bottom line: If you're paying more than $45,000 for a college education, you're attending one of the world's most expensive universities.
American-style universities also fetch the highest dollars abroad. For example, Franklin University, located in the hills above Lugano, Switzerland, is fully accredited in the U.S. It costs $33,100 per year to attend; add another $7,510 for housing and $2,900 for a meal plan, mandatory for all freshmen, according to the school's estimates. The American University of Paris, located near the Eiffel Tower, runs close to $33,000 per year in tuition, fees and health insurance. Need books and a place to live? Budget in another $13,000.
That said, there are still some pretty expensive non-American style schools overseas. The University of Melbourne, is one of the priciest in Australia at about $20,200 per year. The cost of living in Melbourne could tack on another $20,000 to the bill. And the National University of Singapore, considered one of the world's elite schools, is among the most expensive in Asia, at an estimated $31,000 per year.
In compiling our list of the priciest four-year colleges and universities, we relied on The Chronicle of Higher Education's 2008-2009 ranking of tuition and fees for U.S. schools. In many countries, higher education is subsidized by the federal government. However, we scoured dozens of private schools abroad to obtain a snapshot of the priciest colleges overseas.
Last year, readers took us to task for not incorporating financial aid, room and board or a school's estimate of total cost in our rankings. We maintain that tuition and fees are the most transparent aspects of a college's sticker price. Other factors vary too much from school to school. Some charge a comprehensive fee for tuition, room and board; some are more generous than others with financial aid; many don't incorporate travel expenses or the cost of living in places like New York, Chicago or Washington, D.C., in their calculations.
Whatever their differences in cost estimates, the price to attend is going up, even as the economy slows down. For the five U.S. universities with the highest tuition and fees, those items increased by 4.8% from 2007 to 2008. That may sound like a lot, but it's less than the 6% or 7% tuition hikes that schools like Dickinson College and Villanova University have imposed, says the The Chronicle. Meanwhile, university endowments fell by 23% from July to November 2008, according to information released last week by the National Association of College and University Business Officers, which surveyed 435 schools in the U.S. and Canada.
Not all news is bad, however. For example, GW plans to increase institutional financial aid this year to about $120 million, from last year's $118 million. Last spring, President Bush signed a bill that increases the amount of federal loans students can apply for by $2,000, taking some of the pressure off the need for pricier private funding. The stimulus plan the House of Representatives passed last week includes a $2,500 tax credit for college tuition and $490 million in funding for work-study programs.
Of course, for students having trouble coming up with the cash for private schools--particularly those who aren't among the most elite--there's always the public route.
"You may find the selective, competitive public colleges are now looking better for those families," says Bruce Johnstone, a professor of comparative education at the State University of New York-Buffalo. This was quoted from Forbes.com to get more information go to Forbes.com.
Barack Obama
Have you ever wanted to no more about president Obama well I got the answers to your questions from the website Who2 that I have quoted.Barack Obama is the 44th president of the United States and the first African-American president in American history. His name at birth was Barack Hussein Obama II. Obama has spoken often of his multicultural background: his father was from Kenya, his mother from Kansas, and they met at the University of Hawaii. After his parents divorced and his father returned to Africa, Obama stayed with his mother and was raised in Indonesia and Hawaii. He earned an undergraduate degree from Columbia University in 1983 and a law degree from Harvard in 1991. He then joined the Chicago law firm of Miner, Barnhill & Galland, which specialized in civil rights legislation. He also taught constitutional law for 12 years at the University of Chicago. Obama was elected to the Illinois Senate in 1996, and then to the U.S. Senate in 2004, beating Republican candidate Alan Keyes.
Obama shot to national fame after delivering a stirring keynote speech in support of John Kerry at the 2004 Democratic national convention. Obama ran for president in 2008, defeating a Democratic primary field that included New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, the former First Lady. He named Delaware senator Joe Biden to be his running mate at the Democratic Convention that August, and they defeated Republican nominees John McCain and Sarah Palin in the November general election. They took office on 20 January 2009. Obama published the personal memoir Dreams from My Father in 1995, and published a second book, The Audacity of Hope, in 2006. The title of the latter book was also the title of his 2004 keynote speech, and both books won Grammys for best spoken word album.

My Science Fair Project :
Have you ever wonderd what type of metal conducts heat faster. What you should have your pots and pans made of. For my science project I tested what metal conducts heat fatest I used three different types of metal. They are the following galvanized steal, copper, and brass. I tested it by putting a candle under the copper, brass or galvanized steal pipe and I lit the candle and let it touch the pipe for five minutes for each of the pipes. Then I measured the temparature of each of the pipes. My hypothesis was that the galvanized steal would be the warmest after five minutes. I was sadly very ignorant in my hypothesis. You ask why, the reason why is because I was immensley incorrect. The galvanized steel pipe actually was the coolest one after five minutes of being exposed to an open flame. Guess which one won, I will give you some time ... It was the copper pipe ! ! ! in second the brass pipe actually won. So if you really want your food up to heat up the fastest. Just in case you were wondering what the winning temparrature was, it was a temparature of about 115 degrees fahrinheit.
What Do You Do During The Summer ?
I am going to start this summer with a four day camping trip to Camp Oakes in Big Bear,CA. There will be canoeing, swimming, archery, and more. I will probaly go to Perris,CA and have a barbecue and, ride my bike down steep dirt hills with my cousin I might even bring my dog. I will spend a lot a time with friends and family. Go over to my cousin's house with my friends, and do a lot of things, like ice skating, going to the movies, going to the pool, go to Soak City, to the science center and much more. Probaly also go to Magic Mountain. Hopefully I can get a second dog. Going ice skating with my friends is fun because it is a cool way to cool down and it is fun to see them fall and slip and get soaked on the melting ice but it is not fun when I fall which rarely happens. It is fun when we go to the pool and play marco polo and dunk people into the pool or pull them by their legs, some times jumping in. Of course Soak city is fun especially when people are scared on the rides and when we get on that on huge one, and the science center is cool with all the different exhibits. So thats a little excerpt of my summer.
A Letter to Myself
Travel: I want to travel around the world. he LeanTo Italy to visit the countryside in Tuscany and see the wonderful marvels of Italy like the Coliseum, Circus Maximus, leaning Tower of Pisa, and The Vatican were. To France were some of my ancestors came from to take in the magnificent sights. Like the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, The Palace of Loire and of Versailles. To The United Kingdom to see Buckingham and Kensington, Big Ben, The Tower of London, Scotland, and Wales. Spain to see the cities of Madrid and Barcelona. Ireland To see Dublin. Germany to see Berlin. Last but not least Canada to see the mall in Edmonton, the big tower in Toronto, and see Niagara Falls. And I want to bring back money from each and every one of those countries.
Education: I want to be able to begin college courses earlier so I can graduate earlier. I want to go to The University of Southern California as known as U.S.C. So I can get a Doctorate in Business & Law so I can become a c.e.o. which is short for chief executive officer of a large and expanding corporation. Getting an education is one of the most important things to me because it can determine what kind of life you live and what you do as a living. It determines whether you will be a cashier or a president. With job I want if you do not get an education you do not get a job.
Family& Life: My family will have plenty of support and plenty of money. My kids will go to private school and have plenty of money for college and other things. They will be exposed tot the real working world at my company. They will live very comfortably. They will be surrounded by people of high society and family. We will go around world experincing different cultures and have a lot of fun seeing an enviorment different to theirs and maybe even able to speak a couple or one more language. But that will not take them from their morals and beleifs. I will find ways to eductae them even more then just in their private school so they can be a head of their class and maybe skipa grade or get extra credits, but I will not put a whole lot a pressure onn them and I would just want them to do the best that they can. The reason I want them to be in private school is because I do not want them to have to worry about budget cuts in the educational system ,but I want them to see me as I donate money to ppublic schools so it my influence them to do the same when they grow up because the schools do need all the money they can get. My children and grand children will get most of what they want but sometimes I will make them work for it to show them you have to work for stuff in the real world. But all of my family will still live lavishley and have many amenites and oppurtunities that most people will not be able to get and will probaly be spoiled like thir father. My life will be filled with luxury. Cartier rings, Rolex watches, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Maserati, and Aston Martin cars. Drink the finest of drinks like Crystal and the rarest of Cognack. Have multiple houses in Beverly Hills, Orlando, Manhattan, Toronto, Cabo San Lucas, Monte Carlo, London, and Barcelona. A big wonderful private golfstream private jet. With the interior of a palace. The ultimate in comfort and luxury of jets. With seats that fill of plush. My houses being some of the most beatiful and expensive of the world. With intricate design to acomidate every little tiny detail of the house. The perfectly built lighting fixtures, the plasma screen televisions, the multiple car garages. The beautifuly designed fireplaces, near to the infinity bath tubs along side with the big glass steam shower with multiple flat heads over looking the estste on a bright night sky filled with stars. A game room, a home theater with motion generating seats. The dining room with a beautiful crystal chandeleur above the long cherry wood table. A beautiful master bed room with a balcony. I would be envied by a lot of people.

What Would You Do If you won 275,500,000: 5/20/09
What would you do if you won 275,500,000 dollars. Well I am going to tell you what I would do. First I would go crazy and tell everybody. Disperse the to multiple bank accounts so the money would be safe. Go buy the mansion in Beverly Hills which is not far from were I live. Get the best security system their is but have it easy to work for me. Invest a little money in stocks so I can make money off of that. Set aside enough money so I can go to U.S.C. to get my P.H.D. in buisness.Buy a Maybach, Bentley, Rolls-Royce,and a chaffeur to drive them. I would by my own amusement park or buy Magic Mountain if possible. Another thing I will invest in is real estate both domestic and international. That includes starting a five star hotel while I am making money from stocks, real estate and equity from my multiple bank accounts. S o I will continue to be rich and get richer and richer aleady being a multi milliionare as a kid. And of course I will need a private jet to fly to real estate.
No technology for a week!!!
A class in Los Angeles is going with no electronics for a whole seven days! That means no cell phones, no computers or labtops, no ipods or mp3 players, no televisions, and more. I can not beleive the horror. Those are some brave kids being able to resist the enticment of digital technology for a full week. I could probaly not even be able to last two days with out technology let alone a whole week!
Rapid journal Morals
Their was a story recently about a fifteen tyar old in critical condition being taken to the hospital. Why? you ask because he pointed a fake gun to the police and they shot in defense. Here is the story. A 15 year old boy was playing cops and robbers with his friend. He was chasing his friend on a bike when a neighbor saw him and thought it was a real gun so they called the police. So the police came and told him to drop the gun. Instead of dropping the gun he did the most stupid thing possible in that situation. He pointed hi fake gun at the police officers. So immediatly the shot out of self defense. The boy is lucky to be alive. So the moral is that if you have a fake gun and someone has areal one you do not point your fake gun at the person with a real gun.
Rapid journal Morals

A proffesor at Ucla thinks that children of immigrants morals are changing and it is making their relationship with there family worsen. This because now in this country and countries like this one people are now being taught morals by two sets of people, their teacher s and their family at home.
Rapid Journal Getting Old
Getting old is something that everybody has to go threw. As a young man or woman you need to no what you will do or what your family will do for you when youare old. Also what would you do when say your mom or dad become old. What would you do with your parents? Sending them to a retirement home is somethind I would do only if that was the one and only way to hep them Iwould rather they live with me because I would rather not be put in a retirement home but with my family instead. Putting parents in a retirment home should be the last resort. If Icould not watch over them all day I would hire someone to help take care of them. Being in a home with many elderly sick and disable people would be depressing. Not being able to see the world in real life. Not being able to see family all the time and being known as resident number whatever in room 12 or something. Where people are not your friends and they are just their to do their job not having show the least bit of compassion.
I think we should try are best to stop global terrorism. If we try we shall succeed. Their more non terrorist then their is terrorist. If we can stop terrorism we will be a better planet. We will not have so much fear of being raided in your cities by groups such as the Talaban. We do not have to worry about having to send all of our nations' military personnel to fight who I believe to be cowards who are spineless who are that they can not receive power threw their knowledge or charisma. Families' hearts will be spared because their cousins, husbands, wive children fathers, and more are not undefinedkilled due to war because of spineless people with no morals or ethics want power and money. I do not care what ever they believe in in their religion it does not give them the right to commit mass homicide and terrorise poor defenseless people who are innocent and did nothing to them. Even they did something to them this is not a proper solution in any way. If they want to get there word threw they should do it peacefully so they will not be known as the enemy and people might listen. If they want power they should try to get it properly by running for a postion and winning votesundefinedundefined. So we must fight these horrible people to the full extent of power and the law for we out number them. We have the stronger military and the better weaponry. We have all the technology we need to hinder them from hurting those innocent. With a little support from all we can go far. We need all the help possible because everyone's support counts. There are valiant countries with women and men fighting and protecting both their countries and the countries that can not protect themselves. Countries such as the United States of America, that have thousands of soldiers dying for global security. You can join the fight against terrorism in different ways also. Donate money to various military organizations and benefits. Doing this will help the military financely and more money means more defense and less taxes for money to contribute to the military. You can make care packages for soldiers because if I was a soldier and got a care package from one in my nation I would want to fight even harder knowing how wonderful my country is and that is how I would want it to stay. Even donating a cell phone would help so the soldiers could speak to their families. Our you could got the direct way and join part of the military. Their different parts you can join to determine what would you help more effectivley in. In the United States their is the Marine corp, Navy, Air Force, Army, and the Military reserves. But the main point is to stop terrorism. he biggest target to take down is Osama Binladen the head of most of the terroist attacks. He is the man who had 911 happen when the two planes crashed into the twin towers and the plane that crashed into the Pentagon. He has sent threats to the United States in video form he is truely evil. Because him thousands probaly even millions have been killed. But do not let the people who carry out the jobs slide. They are horrible some of them going on missions where they are going to commit suicide just to harm others. IT is truely sickining in so many words that I can not list in such a small space. Their has even been footage of them training little kids to be terroist. There was a little boy being trained how to launch a rocket and a man heped him up becase he was not tall enough to reach to load the rocket; children rading people houses with working guns holdig adults hostage with blind folds. Any group of people willing to let kids launch rockets and have guns is bad but their also teaching them to use them and they film it, that is just evil. That is putting more terroist out their and putting their life in jeporady and really how can any body sane do this; really how would they feel if they were regular and had children and their little boy was out shooting people, holding them hostage, and launching air strikes. I do not know if they would be happy about that putting their children in harms way but you do not no there so evil, sick, and twissted enough to put other peoples kids in danger they might find it amusing and something they would be proud of. These kind of people have put nations in panic an economical turmoil. They have made dangerous countries morre dangerous and poor countries more poor. They have absolutley no respect for people and simply in two words are modern barbarians. They are like barbarians, ruthless follow no mans law, and are full of malice. They are worst then barbarians or savages, their just monsters! But their is hope for salvation. Again there is brave men and women out their every day fighting against terrorist and terrorism. But I am not advising you to go join the army because it may be rewarding and protecting your country and it's people but it is extremely dangerous, you can be called to fight at any time, some times you will not be able to see your family for months at a time, and you can not just resign with in a month or two. Terrorisim is a horrible thing that never pays off and terroist are evil, sick, twisted monsters who are stupid for doing what they do and do not bring anything but pain. So do not get involved with terrorist or terrorism because it is just a horrible thing with horrible people. So join the fight against terrorism. Fighting could be as little as sending a care package or starting a fundraiser because it all helps.
Global Warming and Pollution.
Global warming is making a hole threw the ozone layer. We can stop the effects of global warming by getting rid of cars on the road that give off to much pollution. Planting more trees to take the warm carbon dioxide out of the air and more. Global warming is causing horrible effects on the Earth.Their are ways to help. You can get rid of your cars those that have ones that pollute a lot and by hybrids or new low polluting cars. You can quit smoking. You can by shopping bags made of reusable fabric to keep from cutting down trees. If you want to find out more about going green go to a green website.
Free Journal:My Poem for Poetry month.
My poem for poetry month is called ''The Road Not Taken'' and it is by Robert Frost. " Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,And sorry I could not travel both,And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as Icould To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair,And having perhaps the better claim,Because it was grassy and wanted wear;Though as for that the passing thereHad worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day ! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference." And I beleive this poem says that he had two things he could have done be a follower and do what everybody else was doing or he could be a leader and do what he wanted to do. He chose to be a leader and do what he wanted to do and making that decision had made his life better then it would have been if he just was a follower. I beleive this is a perfect poem to read to children so that they will be influenced to take there own path and do what they want to do and that will make their life even better. This poem has helped me and persuaded me to be my own person no matter if not all people are doing the same thing or not. So I h0pe this poem will persuade you to be yourself.

Rapid Journal aClean School 4/28/09
I beleive that the duty of keeping the school clean is a mix of every bodies responsibility. First their is the students who attend the school. They ersponsibble because they are the ones who use the bath rooms and are the ones who also get them dirty; they should treat public and school bathrooms the same as they treat their bath room. It is also their parents responsibility to teach them to respect public property as they would want their property to be treated and to be clean. The controversial thing is if the janitorial staff is responsible for keeping the bath room and school clean. I beleive that they are particialy responsible because that what they hired to do and if they did not do that they would not be doing their job. So inf you examine it deeply it is every bodies responsibility to keep the bathrooms and school clean.

I think one of the most amazing things you could do in your life is go on a cruise. I went on a cruise to Ensenada,Mexico two summers ago and it was amazing and wonderful. I was on a Royal Carribean cruise ship called the Monarch of the Seas. It was big and beautiful. It had four pools and two hot tubs. It had an astonishing interior and five star chefs from around the world. Being able to look at the ocean at one of the dinning halls was captivating. And the food was delicious. They on board theaters and stores for anything you would ever need. The staff was very friendly and patient also helpful. The destinations we visited were beautiful and full of life. First we went to San Diego were I took a land and sea tour were they have this truck that drives around town and shhows you different sights to see and then iit takes us to the harbor and converts into a ship. We saw seals and dolphins. Next day on the fourth of July we went to Catalina island. It was the fourth of July. The place was full of people. It had cool little places to shop at. I went on scenic tour around the island and I saw adeer on agolf course. I also went on a glass bottom boat tour were the floor was made of glass and you could see fishthrew the glass. When we were settig sell to Ensenada,Mexico the captain stopped in the middle ocean so we could see fire works from three different cities at once and that was incredible and awome to see all of those fire works shows at once. So in the morning we were at port and you could tell it was mexico because I could see a huge mexican flag threw the window in the dinning hall. The water though was very dirty and brown in the port but with all those ships you might think it was pretty dirty. So I took atour around Ensenada and it was beautiful. Next we went to this market place right next to geiser and it was amazing how high the water would shoot up. I mean people were being soaked by the water and it was around a beach like area so the view was just astonishing. At the market they had stores filled with beautifully hand crafted souvenirs. I got two pure silver Aztec calendar pendants, a puppet,a ball in a cup game hand made animal bobble heads, and a crystal bull. Then we had to rebored the cruise ship and go back to Long Beach,California back in the United States of America. We had to leave the ship early in the morning and I was can of sad to leave but I was happy to be home.

1. What is the best trick you have ever played on someone? N
The best trick I have ever pulled was on my cousin Trent. Me, him, and our grandfather were going out to Perris,California one weekand for the first time. We were going to my great grandpa's old property. But I got my cousin to hink that we were actually going to Paris,France for the weekend. So he was getting ready at my house, charging his psp getting packed. I got him so excited and then I said "Why are you charging your psp it is only an hour and a half away?" Then hesaid,"What do you mean it an hour and half away, aplane can not go that fast." and I said,''We are driving to Perris.'' So he ran up to my grandpa who was at my house and he asked him if it is possible to drivr theit. So I told him we were not going to Paris,France and that we were going to Perris,Ca.
